Abstract

|
|
Aspiration of foreign body is less common in healthy adults. Although foreign body aspiration is frequently suspected in children with acute or recurrent pulmonary symptoms, It is rarely considered in adults, unless a clear history of an aspiration event can be obtained. If the event is unnoticed and there are no definite clinical findings, the patient can be hospitalized for bronchitis, bronchial asthma or pneumonia, with dangerous consequences for the health of the patient due to the delayed diagnosis. We report a case of bronchial foreign body, which had been misdiagnosed as bronchial asthma with migrating wheezing, and accompanied by acute motor sensory axonal neuropathy.
